Real Wedding – Alicia & Curt April 2019

Alicia & Curtis became husband & wife on the 27th April 2019 amid the wild storm Hannah in Mid Wales. It was so much fun getting to know the couple and their wishes, then finally seeing everything come together on their wedding day.  The day was all about family, spending the weekend together. Their personal touches really shone though in their wedding décor.

The Venue:

The couples chosen venue, Tall Johns, is a rustic, DIY wedding barn venue set amongst beautiful maintained gardens. With plenty of on site accommodation within their self catering holiday cottages and in the beautiful manor house. It’s a childhood dream. Looking just like a perfect dolls house. This venue really does have so much potential for unique wedding days, and beautiful photography.

The Inspiration:

The wedding day really was all about family. Décor was kept minimal with Alicia creatively pulling it all together. Twinkling fairy lights hung from the beams, the smell of dried flowers and lavender hung in the air. All this creating beautiful but subtle pops of colour. Old fashioned games could be found on the tables to entertain the guests and the food was fully catered by the family, a proper tea party! The perfectly fitting rustic trestle tables and chivari chairs with lavender organza bows were provided by the lovely people at Yolo Events, Guests were well hydrated by Hops & Scotch bars showcasing their country style wooden bar unit.

Thank you so much to Rhian Clarke Photography for sending me her beautiful images. And for Alicia & Curt allowing me to show you all. I hope you love their dreamy wedding day for inspiration as much as I did!
