The little details I just adored from @hannahkelly90 & @mikie_davey ‘s wedding 😍

The dried floral semi circle where they stood to say I do. This plus the flower cloud framed the ceremony space, covered the fire escape sign but still allowed for the incredible view. Word of warning though - be careful choosing spots like this and always check where the light is going to be at the time/day of your wedding. It was perfect in October - high of summer it might be different and not be great for photos or right in your eyes!

The floral pumpkins dotted around added a touch of elegance to an October theme without feeling ‘Halloween’

The lapel floral was created for a male bridesmaid in place of a bouquet but still wanted to be different to the groomsmen who went with pocket square flowers - so sad I don’t have a picture!

The cake was M&S and diy decor!

The dog table plan… need I say any more. The grooms photoshop skills - perfection!

From set up day to wedding day 💚
Officially (or maybe just for now we will see!) my last ever wedding I’m full planning. Although I loved every moment and getting to work so closely with both suppliers and the client, having a toddler doesn’t make that an easy task! Coordinating weddings is what I mainly do and love, and stopping the full planning allows me to do more of that 💚

But come with me. From setting up all of Tuesday, to a 5:30am start on Wednesday right to being stopped by the police for looking suspicious driving home at 2:30am 😂

It was an early one as I headed to Cardiff to collect last bits, the welsh cakes and that incredible croquembouche! Driving back was the most nerve racking drive ever!!!

The wedding day timeline was moved around from the traditional. My brief - a 4pm ceremony, relaxed day with family and to still fit in an amazing sit down meal and evening band. So what did we do?!

The day started with a first look, couples photos and the family photos. Everyone was staying on site and as the couple had travelled over from their home in New Zealand it was important to have the photos but also to ensure everyone got to enjoy their time together.

The guests then arrive for champagne and canapés which the couple were ready to join in on before the ceremony began round the corner in the courtyard led by the wonderful Nia.

A short break to reset the meal and home very one headed in for a sit down sharing feast and party for the rest of the day.

It’s all in those little wedding day details 😍

Photo 1:
Don’t rush down the aisle! Stagger yourselves so there is a moment for each of you.

Photo 2:
An epic back drop for your confetti shot (we had the Glastonbury festival site which was pretty special!)

Photo 3:
If you’re DIYing things having more helpers makes things easier, if most people pick up a chair it won’t be a stressful transition and generally guests are willing to help

Photo 4:
Canapés. It’s the first moment of the day everyone relaxes. Canapés are a great introduction on what’s to expect for the day

Photo 5:
Hydration! When I’m planning weddings I always have a water station involved. Water helps those hangovers remember!

Photo 6:
Stationery ties in the whole day.. especially when it looks as beautiful and personal as this! P.s. always have a table plan. It’s just less stressful on your guests if they are allocated to a table!

Photo 7:
Get those button holes pinned properly. Always go from the back of the lapel!

Summer 2023… I love looking back and am so proud

Summer 2023… I love looking back and am so proud of everything. From working with my lovely team, to every single couple I am lucky enough to be asked to be apart of their wedding. We’ve worked long long hours, I’ve spent late nights at my desk, partied at awards shows and made the best family memories in between whilst jumping all over the country to be at your weddings 💚

By the end of 2023 I’ll be hitting my first big business milestone of being involved in over 100 events in 1 year. How mad is that! And I’m fully booked for 2024 (bar a few off season days) and days the team can take on. Immensely proud of this achievement.

Let’s continue to always have fun with it. No matter how big it gets - will always be the way I choose to do things.

The story of your day was one of many many changes and the wedding morning behind the scenes was a little chaotic but we made it happen! The welsh weather did what it does and messed up our outdoor plans but me and the ushers rearranged the barn, set up a new cute outdoor ceremony area and the day went away without a hitch!
