This October barn wedding at the stunning Tall Johns House in Brecon felt like stepping into the bride’s imagination—a day filled with Taylor Swift-inspired magic, creative DIY details, and plenty of heartfelt moments. After nearly two years of planning, it was incredible to see the couple’s vision come to life, captured beautifully by Anderson Photography, known for their editorial style and vintage-inspired wedding films."

As the regular wedding planner and on the day coordinator at Tall Johns House I love to see how differently each couple chooses to dress the room. Bec has chosen to DIY lots of the styling elements for her day including the florals and stationery, matching it with decor from my favourite people at Megan & Claude and plenty of disco balls.

I loved the creative use of Taylor Swift-inspired friendship bracelets, a nod to the bride’s love of ‘The Eras Tour.’ These unique touches made the day truly unforgettable."

Tall Johns, a wedding venue with on site accommodation for you and your wedding guests. The Bridal party choosing to get ready in the Ship Room and the groomsmen in the largest of the cottages, named Honeysuckle Cottage.

We held the personal ceremony within the main barn, and the slight unusual warm weather for the season allowed us an outdoor drinks reception, complete with a live wedding illustrator. This was loved by all the guests and the perfect idea for a wedding guest favour over an item which is so often left behind.

We transformed the main barn space, laying for the wedding meal and a menu of various pies were served to the guests.

The bride added a personal touch to the day by performing a heartfelt song for the groom to begin the evening reception before the Polar Berries band took over and filled the dancefloor.
